Founded in 1988 by Temple and Jayne Stephenson, Stephenson Stables, Inc. made its mark in the equestrian community as an elite Saddlebred show barn. As the community surrounding Stephenson Stables evolved over the years, so did the stables.


ABOUT STEPHENSON STABLES
Stephenson Stables, Inc. was founded in 1988 by renowned American Saddlebred trainers Temple and Jayne Stephenson. Both Atlanta natives, the Stephensons spent the first twenty years of their careers breaking colts and training Saddlebred horses at Ward Meade Farm off of Papermill Road in East Marietta. In 1988 they were presented with the opportunity to open their own facility thirty minutes north of Atlanta in Cherokee county.
"I was allowed to design the home, but he got to design the barn," recalls Jayne.
Thirty three years later, Stephenson Stables remains a family owned and operated facility.

Boasting 47 acres of pasture, paddocks and riding facilities, Stephenson Stables has evolved to meet the needs of the growing equestrian community in Woodstock and surrounding cities. Drama free and family friendly, Stephenson Stables is the provides an ideal environment for equestrians in all stages of life.
